The feature length documentary Carpet Racers: A Crash Course is a yearlong exploration into the subculture of men and women who attempt to earn their living racing radio control race cars...professionally. Life racing cars the size of shoeboxes at 60 miles an hour is a cutthroat and often hilarious existence, one that plays out at such large scale events like 'The Snowbird Nationals' in Orlando, Florida and the 'International Indoor Championships' in Las Vegas, Nevada, where every tweak of the engine, turn of the wheel and trip around the track determines who enjoys the spoils of victory or wallows in the agony of defeat. After spending a year traveling to radio control tracks and events across the United States, the director rediscovers a dormant passion and attempts to recapture a piece of his youth when he picks up the controller for the first time in years. Life in the small lane... it ain't easy.
